Summer in the Streets
Some Year 2 children performed some songs and dances in Mansfield as part of the Summer in the Streets festival.
   
Making IT!
Year 2 children went to the Making IT Discovery Centre in Mansfield.
   
Chapel Visit
Some children went to visit the local methodist chapel as part of their RE studies.
   
June 2007
Sports Week We have enjoyed a week of different sport activities.
   
Synagogue visit Mrs Burton's class went to the synagogue as part of their RE topic on Judaism.
   
Work with resident artist Jane is working with us as a resident artist as part of our work with Creative Partnerships.

Footprints Footprints theatre company came and told us a story from India all about Samuli and Kerassa.

We visited the Harley Gallery to see an exhibition called 'Dragons in the cloud' which was all about creating art from ordinary things.

Nurse visit Angela, our school nurse came to talk to Mrs Burton's class about her role as a nurse and how to stay well.
   
Art Day We invited our families to join us in art day.  Each class explored the work of a famous artist.  It was great fun!

Trip to recycling centre Reception studied recycling and went on a visit to our local recycling containers.

Baptism Katherine and Mark visited us and we learnt about baptisms.

Visit from Royal British Legion Some war veterans from the Local British Legion came to talk to the Year 2 children about their experiences as part of their topic on Remembrance Day.
   
Harvest Festival We had a Harvest assembly to think about how lucky we are to have nice things to eat and drink.
   
Visit to Warsop war memorial Year 2 children visited the Warsop war memorial as part of their History topic on Remembrance Day.
   
Footprints We always enjoy having the footprints theatre company in and watching their stories and dramas.  This time they told us the story of the Ugly Duckling.

Life Lorry The Life Lorry came to talk to us about how our body works and teach us different ways we can keep healthy.
   
Cresswell Crags Nursery visited Cresswell Crags and used what they had seen to help them make a mural for their outside area.

Visit from Sue Kemp, Nepal

Year 2 enjoyed talking with Sue Kemp, a teacher in Nepal and finding out about life where she lives.

   
School Waste Action Club The School Waste Action Club came to talk to us about what we throw away and how we can recycle more.
