Netherfield Infant School

Headteacher's Welcome

Dear Parents,

Hello and Welcome.

A warm welcome to all parents both those who are familiar with the school and those who like me are new. I hope you have all had a good summer break.

I am delighted and excited to be introducing myself as the new head teacher here at Netherfield and am looking forward to working in partnership with you.

I have been teaching nearly 20 years in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire and thoroughly enjoy and continue to be inspired by everything about children’s learning in the early years. I believe in giving all children the very best possible start to their life long learning journey, enabling them to be the very best they can be and I can assure you that we will continue to provide a safe, caring, supportive environment in which your children can grow and flourish.

As parents you are the first and most important teacher for your children and I know we can achieve the most for your child by working together.

I welcome and value your opinions and comments and I am happy to speak to you at any time. To make sure I am available please ring the school office as I appreciate how precious your time can be.

Netherfield is a great school and with your continuing support I believe we can work together to ensure it becomes even better.

I would like to thank everyone for making me feel so welcome and I am very much looking forward to continuing the partnership and getting to know you and your children over the next few weeks.

Mrs Lucy Stancliffe - Headteacher

Netherfield Infant and Nursery School was last inspected in June 2007 and the OFSTED inspectors found that “This is a good school providing good value for money. Good care and support are provided for pupils, and pastoral care is excellent. Work with parents is outstanding because of the way partnership is valued and encouraged. Importantly the school is a centre for the community and successfully promotes more positive attitudes to learning.”

We have a very supportive governing body and the staff work as a close team to ensure continuity and progression for the children, involving parents at every opportunity.

We welcome the opportunity to show people round the school and to tell them about what we do and how we do it.
